Do you have a LinkedIn account? Might be time to change your password… Just to be on the safe side!
Mark Zuckerberg, the man behind the Facebook empire, was infiltrated briefly on Sunday June 5, 2016, by the hacker group, Ourmine. They bragged about their alleged hacks to their 40,000+ followers, and taunted Zuckerberg, with such Tweets as “Hey @finkd we got access to your Twitter & Instagram & Pinterest, we are just testing your security, please dm us.”
It is believed that the 2012 LinkedIn hack was responsible for Mr. Zuckerberg’s breach, as well as 117 million other users, whose username/password combinations were stolen in 2012. Mr. Zuckerberg’s Twitter account has not sent a Tweet since 2012, and Instagram’s security systems (now owned by Facebook) were able to stop the hackers from even accessing his account.
Mr. Zuckerberg has over 600,000 Twitter followers. He has deleted the offensive tweets and has, presumably, since changed his social media passwords.
